Mayor Park Dongsik of Sacheon Concludes Neighborhood Tour - Dialogue with Jeongdong-myeon Residents

Communicating with Citizens and Sharing a Vision for the Future

Sacheon City, South Gyeongsang Province, announced on January 27 that it had successfully concluded the "2026 Neighborhood Tour," which was conducted across all towns and districts from January 14 to 23.

This tour was organized at the close of the 8th popularly elected administration to share the city government's achievements with citizens, listen directly to their voices, and reflect their input in municipal policies.

Mayor Park personally visited each town and district, engaging in conversations with citizens and conducting on-site inspections, meticulously examining local issues and inconveniences in daily life.

In particular, he shared with citizens the major municipal achievements of the past three years, such as advancing as Korea's aerospace capital, establishing the foundation for a leading marine tourism city on the southern coast, revitalizing the local economy, stabilizing livelihoods, and creating prosperous living conditions. He also listened to a wide range of opinions and suggestions.

More than 400 suggestions received will not be treated as simple civil complaints but will be systematically managed through review by relevant departments, assessing the potential for policy adoption, implementation timelines, and follow-up action plans.

Through this, the city aims to implement an administration that ensures on-site communication leads to tangible policy outcomes.

In addition, focusing on future growth drivers such as the construction of the main Space and Aerospace Agency building and the creation of an aerospace complex city, the city shared its mid- to long-term vision for expanding living infrastructure-including transportation, education, culture, and welfare-with citizens, broadening consensus on the direction of regional development.

Mayor Park Dongsik stated, "This neighborhood tour was a meaningful opportunity to hear about pressing issues close to citizens' lives and seek solutions together. We will continue to pursue communication-oriented administration that finds answers on the ground, creating changes that citizens can truly feel."

Based on the results of this tour, Sacheon City plans to further develop customized policies for each region and ensure that promises made to citizens are fully realized through thorough follow-up measures.
