Song Seungjong, Vice Chairman of the Policy Committee of the Democratic Party of Korea, has launched a full-scale campaign by holding a book launch event for his new publication, which encapsulates the philosophy of his 40-year public service career.

According to Song's office, the book launch for his work "Finding the Way Among People" was held on the afternoon of the 24th at the gymnasium of Dongsin High School in Buk-gu, Gwangju.

Song's book, "Finding the Way Among People," recounts his experiences accumulated over 40 years in public service, starting as a ninth-grade civil servant and working in both central and local government. Through various real-life administrative cases, the author delivers the message that the essence of administration lies not in systems or authority, but in "people's lives."

The event was conducted in the format of a talk concert. Citizen panelists, including local elders, youth, and small business owners, participated in candid discussions with Song about local issues and the future direction of local autonomy.

In his opening remarks, Song Seungjong stated, "Administration is not about numbers and documents, but about dealing with people's lives," adding, "This book is not merely a record of the past, but my promise to implement 'people-centered administration' here in Buk-gu going forward."

He further emphasized, "I hope today's event will not be just a political declaration, but a venue for communication where we can breathe and empathize together with citizens."

Meanwhile, Song began his public service career as a ninth-grade civil servant, served in key positions at Gwangju City Hall and central government ministries, and was Secretary-General (equivalent to first grade) of the Korea Water and Wastewater Works Association, a public institution under the Ministry of Environment.
