The appointment ceremony was attended by athletes from the Yangju City Office bowling and track and field teams, as well as the president of the Yangju City Athletics Federation (Yoo Hwangsun), the general manager (Director of the Economic, Culture, and Sports Bureau), and the deputy general manager (Head of the Youth Sports Division).
This year, the Yangju City Office Workplace Sports Team consists of eight members in the bowling team and six in the track and field team. Notably, the track and field team has recruited one additional male athlete this year to ensure smooth operation of the mixed relay event and to strengthen the team, aiming to improve overall performance.
The newly joined athletes include Jeong Ji-yoon of the bowling team, and An Jemin, Han Yeeun, and Choi Yunseo from Deokgye High School for the track and field team, totaling five new members, including local athletes.
The mayor of Yangju City stated, "It is very meaningful that athletes who have grown through our city's school sports team development program have become new members of the workplace sports team. This is the result of consistent efforts and systematic support for the development of elite athletes."
