Sharing Roles and Cooperation Strategies for Public Institutions

The Council of Public Institution Heads of Jeollanam-do, comprised of the heads of public corporations and affiliated organizations in Jeollanam-do, announced that it held the "2026 Jeollanam-do Public Corporation and Affiliated Organization Heads Meeting" on January 14 at the Namdo Jangteo Foundation meeting room in Naju Innovation City, with 13 heads of public corporations and affiliated organizations from the province in attendance.
This meeting was organized to strengthen cooperation among institutions and to effectively advance major policies and pending issues in Jeollanam-do. The participants shared the roles and directions for cooperation of public institutions regarding key agendas, including the administrative integration of Gwangju and Jeonnam, the discovery of joint regional projects, and support for the Yeosu World Island Expo.
In particular, the attending heads expressed their consensus on the necessity of promoting administrative integration, agreeing to work together so that integration leads to tangible results for enhancing regional competitiveness and achieving balanced national development.
Kim Kyungho, Chairman of the Council of Public Institution Heads of Jeollanam-do and CEO of Namdo Jangteo, stated, "This meeting was a meaningful occasion to confirm the collective commitment of public institutions in the province to the administrative integration of Gwangju and Jeonnam, and to strengthen cooperation among institutions." He added, "Since administrative integration will enhance regional competitiveness and lead to job creation and balanced development, public institutions will take the lead in pursuing practical cooperation."
