Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 14 that it will continue to operate the 'Lightning-Struck Suit' program this year, which offers free rental of interview suits to job seekers.
Eligible applicants include job seekers aged 18 to 64 who either reside in Bucheon or are currently enrolled in a high school or university in the Bucheon area. They can borrow a complete suit set, including a jacket, trousers, shoes, tie, and accessories, free of charge for three nights and four days.
This year, reservations can be made 24 hours a day through the job support application 'Jobaba Apply.' In addition, a QR code-based satisfaction survey has been introduced to further improve the user process.
There are two interview suit rental locations: 'Belletto' (Unit 125) inside Jung-dong We’ve the State Complex 1, and 'Bucheon Youth Leadership Shop (#)' at Exit 2 on the first floor of Songnae Station. In particular, Bucheon Youth Leadership Shop (#) also provides a range of job support services, including AI interview simulations, personalized career consulting, and connections to video interview rooms.
Job seekers wishing to use the service must bring their ID, Employment 24 job registration number, and supporting documents related to their interview.
Meanwhile, last year, 1,572 Bucheon citizens used the free interview suit rental service, and about 97% of respondents in the satisfaction survey reported being 'satisfied' or higher, indicating a very positive response.
