Gwangju Hyoryeong Senior Welfare Town conducted intensive training to prevent safety accidents among participating seniors ahead of the official launch of the 2026 Senior Employment and Social Activity Support Project.
On January 13, Hyoryeong Town announced that it had conducted safety and job understanding training for 310 seniors selected for this year’s Senior Public Interest Activity Project at the town’s auditorium.
This training was organized to help seniors thoroughly understand essential safety rules before starting on-site work and to ensure they are familiar with the specific work details of each project group.
In particular, the training featured customized content focused on real-life cases, including guidelines for preventing slips and falls on icy roads during winter activities, safety rules to prevent accidents while working, and compliance requirements for each project group, thereby enhancing participants’ understanding.
Hyoryeong Town plans to maintain a thorough management system by repeatedly providing guidance on the training content through morning briefings and on-site supervision, ensuring that seniors can participate in their jobs safely.
Jung Kyungnam, Head of Hyoryeong Town, stated, "The most fundamental aspect of senior employment activities is the safety of our seniors," adding, "We will continue to strengthen regular training, on-site inspections, and preventive activities so that participants can work with peace of mind."
