Master's Program in Science Journalism
"Plagiarism Rate 1%... Thank You for Your Support"
Goo Hye-sun, an actress who completed her master's program at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), has released the results of the plagiarism check for her master's thesis.
On January 13, Goo Hye-sun posted her graduation photo along with a plagiarism check certificate on her social networking service (SNS) account.
Goo Hye-sun stated, "The plagiarism rate is 1%. I will continue to work hard! Thank you for your support." The published photo shows the results of the plagiarism check through the Copykiller channel, indicating a plagiarism rate of 1%.
Previously, on January 8, Goo Hye-sun wrote on her SNS, "I passed my master's thesis and will be graduating early. My freshly bound thesis has arrived. Next up, a Ph.D.? Victory!" She also uploaded a photo of herself in a graduation gown and cap, as well as the cover of her bound master's thesis, which is titled "The Fifth Wall: The Era of One-Person Media Formed by Reprojection."
Goo Hye-sun began her studies in the Department of Film at Sungkyunkwan University as part of the 2011 class but paused her studies due to her entertainment career. She re-enrolled in the department in 2020 and graduated at the top of her class in February 2024 with a GPA of 4.27 out of 4.5. In June of the same year, she was accepted into the KAIST Graduate School of Science Journalism's master's program in engineering for the fall semester.
