Integrated Payment Solutions Provided by Both Companies for Henkel's B2B Platform
Deutsche Bank of Germany and the integrated payment company NHN KCP announced on January 13 that they have been selected as the official domestic payment service providers for Henkel Consumer Brands Korea, a global household goods company.
Under the agreement, Deutsche Bank and NHN KCP will provide electronic payment gateway (PG) services for Henkel's business-to-business (B2B) dedicated platform.
The platform is used to order major beauty brand products from Henkel, such as Shiseido Professional and Schwarzkopf Professional. It supports key online payment methods, including credit cards and bank transfers.
Henkel, founded in Germany in 1876, is a multinational chemical and consumer goods company that owns brands ranging from hair products like Persil, Syoss, and Bref, to laundry detergents, household insecticides, and bathroom and kitchen cleaning products. The company operates in 125 countries.
Deutsche Bank is Germany's leading commercial and investment bank.
NHN KCP and Deutsche Bank have been expanding payment infrastructure for global enterprises based on their 'Merchant Solutions' partnership. Merchant Solutions refers to providing payment-related functions such as payment authorization, settlement, and security authentication, enabling businesses (merchants) to process electronic payments.
The companies explained that this collaboration is an example of combining Deutsche Bank's global network with NHN KCP's electronic payment technology. Both companies plan to expand the application of their integrated payment solutions to various companies and domestic and international merchant networks beyond Henkel in the future.
An NHN KCP representative stated, "This is a meaningful result created by combining a world-class financial network with the country's top-level electronic payment technology," adding, "NHN KCP will provide stable support for Henkel's growth in the domestic market and expansion of digital commerce, and will continue to expand collaboration with global beauty and household goods companies."
