House Fire in Hadong Leaves One Dead, One Seriously Injured

At around 10:30 p.m. on January 10, a fire broke out at a rural house in Geumseong-myeon, Hadong County, South Gyeongsang Province.

A woman in her 50s died in the fire, and a man in his 50s suffered second-degree burns and other serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.

The fire was extinguished by firefighters who responded to the scene after about two hours.

The police and fire authorities plan to conduct a joint inspection, autopsy, and interviews with related parties to investigate the exact cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage.
