"No Remorse, Filing a Separate Complaint... Causing Secondary Harm"
Actor and singer Nana has announced plans for strong legal action after being counter-sued by a burglar who broke into her home.
On January 2, Nana's agency Sublime issued a statement, saying, "Through a thorough investigation by law enforcement, the facts of the perpetrator's crime in the robbery and assault case involving Nana have been clearly confirmed."
On the same day, JTBC reported, citing sources in the entertainment and legal sectors, that Mr. A, the suspect who was arrested and charged with aggravated robbery and assault after breaking into Nana's home in November last year, recently filed a complaint against Nana during the investigation process. Mr. A is reportedly claiming that Nana's actions during the process of subduing him constituted "attempted murder."
The agency stated, "During the crime, the perpetrator was armed with a weapon, and Nana and her family suffered severe physical and psychological harm. The resulting physical and mental pain continues to this day."
They added, "Nevertheless, the perpetrator has filed a separate complaint against Nana without any sign of remorse. By exploiting the fact that the victim is a public figure, he is causing secondary harm through inhumane actions."
The agency further emphasized, "We place the highest priority on protecting the rights and interests of our artists. In connection with this matter, we will pursue all possible civil and criminal legal actions against the perpetrator. We will continue to respond responsibly to ensure that our artist does not suffer any further harm."
