"No Remorse, Filing a Separate Complaint... Causing Secondary Harm"
Actor and singer Nana has announced a strong legal response after being countersued by the intruder who broke into her home.
On January 2, Nana's agency, Sublime, released an official statement saying, "Through a thorough investigation by law enforcement, the criminal acts of the perpetrator in the robbery and assault case involving Nana have been clearly confirmed."
On the same day, JTBC reported, citing sources in the entertainment and legal sectors, that Mr. A, the suspect who was arrested and detained on charges of aggravated robbery and assault after breaking into Nana's home in November last year, has recently filed a complaint against Nana during the investigation process. Mr. A is reportedly claiming that Nana's actions during the subduing process constitute "attempted murder."
The agency stated, "During the incident, the perpetrator was armed with a weapon, and Nana and her family suffered severe harm both physically and mentally. The resulting physical and psychological pain continues to this day."
They added, "Nevertheless, the perpetrator, showing no remorse, has filed a separate complaint against Nana. By exploiting the fact that the victim is a public figure, the perpetrator is causing secondary harm through inhumane actions."
The agency further emphasized, "We prioritize the protection of our artist's rights and interests above all else. Regarding this matter, we will pursue all possible civil and criminal legal actions against the perpetrator. We will continue to respond responsibly to ensure our artist does not suffer any further harm."
