Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province has repeatedly made its mark in various evaluations, contests, and policy achievements in 2025, demonstrating the reality of a "well-performing county administration."
Cheongsong County (Governor Yoon Kyunghee), even amid the pain of massive wildfire damage, has proven its administrative excellence through proactive governance that transforms residents' lives and creates a livable "Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong County." The county has received high marks in various external evaluations, including those conducted by the central government and North Gyeongsang Province.
Among its major achievements, Cheongsong County received the Best Prize for two consecutive years in the "2025 Local Government Financial Analysis Evaluation" conducted by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, which assessed 243 local governments. This accomplishment secured a special grant of 100 million won, recognizing the county's efforts for sound and planned financial management.

Additionally, Cheongsong Apple won the grand prize in the apple category of the "2025 Korea Representative Brand Awards" for the 13th consecutive year, and "Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong County" won the grand prize in the city brand category for the 6th consecutive year. These achievements demonstrate the county's outstanding natural environment and its continued status as Korea's premier apple production area. Furthermore, Cheongsong County achieved the SA (highest) grade in the "2025 National Basic Local Government Head Pledge Implementation and Information Disclosure Evaluation" conducted by the Korea Manifesto Center, realizing a robust implementation of the 8th popularly elected county administration's pledges without neglecting promises made to residents.
In terms of major awards by sector, Cheongsong County received the Grand Prize in the agricultural sector for the "2025 Gyeongbuk Rural Development Project Excellence Award," the Best Prize in the "2025 Fruit Industry Promotion Policy Evaluation," the Best Prize in the "2025 Agricultural Products Distribution Policy Evaluation," and the Excellence Award in the "2025 Agricultural Disaster Response Best Practices Award."
In the welfare sector, Cheongsong County received the Best Prize in the "National Dementia Safety Center 2nd Cycle Operation Evaluation," the Excellence Award in the "2025 Public Healthcare Work Excellence Award," the Encouragement Award in the "2025 Public Health Center Rapid Response Team Competition," and the Minister's Award in the "2025 Community Oral Health Project Performance Competition," proving the county's excellence in public healthcare that is accessible to all.
In the forestry and environment sector, Cheongsong County received the Best Prize in the "20th Anniversary National Autonomous Disaster Prevention Corps Advancement Competition," the Excellence Award in the "2025 Gyeongbuk Environmental Awards," and ranked fourth among basic local governments in the "2025 Local Government Emission Facility Environmental Management Evaluation." These achievements recognize the county's efforts to protect the pristine nature of "Oxygen Cafe Cheongsong County."
