According to the city on December 31, the new Namwon Love Gift Certificates will combine a 10% upfront discount with a 2% cashback reward when using card or mobile-type certificates.
When purchasing the certificates, buyers will receive an immediate 10% discount, and if they use card or mobile-type certificates, they will get 2% of the payment amount back as cashback. However, paper-type certificates are excluded from the cashback program.
The city plans to shift from the previous upfront discount system to a combined upfront discount and cashback structure, aiming to maintain the real discount effect while encouraging actual usage of the certificates, thereby maximizing consumption by real users.
A city official stated, "By offering various operating methods, we will enhance convenience for citizens and boost local consumption to invigorate the regional economy."
