More than 100 current and former public officials, including Mayor Joo Gwangdeok, attended the event to honor the occasion. The ceremony proceeded in the following order: remarks from retiring officials, words of encouragement, and a commemorative photo session.
Mayor Joo Gwangdeok said, "Having spent 30 years together within the Namyangju City community, I hope you have many fond memories of the city.
