According to the county on the 30th, this event has been organized as a meaningful occasion where residents gather on the first day of the new year to pray for health and happiness, as well as for the peace and development of the region.

This event, hosted by the Jangsu County Volunteer Crime Prevention Association, is expected to be attended by about 200 people, including Choi Hunsik, Governor of Jangsu County, Choi Hanju, Chairman of the County Council, Park Yonggeun, member of the North Jeolla Special Self-Governing Provincial Council, and local residents.

The event will proceed in a calm atmosphere, beginning with a New Year's blessing ceremony, followed by sunrise viewing and wish-making, sharing of New Year's greetings, three cheers for prosperity, and finally, sharing tteokguk (rice cake soup).

The program has been designed with a focus on traditional elements and simple sharing, so that residents can express their New Year's wishes together and foster a sense of community.

The county plans to thoroughly ensure safety management by inspecting roads in advance for snow removal and ice control, and by deploying medical staff and ambulances at the site to prepare for possible weather conditions on the day of the event.

However, if a heavy snow warning is issued with a forecast of more than 20 cm of snowfall, or if a cold wave warning is issued with temperatures below -15℃, the county will reconsider whether to proceed with the event, prioritizing the safety of residents above all else.

Governor Choi Hunsik stated, "I hope this will be a meaningful occasion to greet the very first moment of the Byeong-o Year together with all residents, wishing for everyone's health, happiness, and a bright future for Jangsu County," and added, "We will make thorough preparations to ensure safe event management so that residents can start the new year with warm hearts."
