Door-to-Door Robot Delivery Realized
The delivery app Yogiyo is expanding its autonomous robot delivery service to reach customers' doorsteps.
On December 30, Yogiyo announced that it has launched a robot delivery service in partnership with autonomous robot service company Neubility at the Raemian Leaders One apartment complex in Seocho-gu, Seoul. With this service, robots deliver food directly to the front door of each household.
Yogiyo explained that, unlike previous robot delivery services that stopped at the entrance of apartment complexes or designated locations, this is a full-scale commercial service that has been expanded to deliver directly to residential front doors (door-to-door).
Yogiyo has accumulated stable driving and delivery operation data in outdoor environments based on its robot delivery operations with Neubility in Songdo, Incheon in 2024 and in Yeoksam, Seoul this year. By enhancing this data, the company has implemented an operational model that enables delivery right up to the front door.
With the expansion of this service, the number of franchise partners participating in robot delivery has also increased. The service has expanded from being centered on individual stores to include franchise brands, and the service area has also grown from Songdo and Yeoksam to the Seocho-gu area.
Yogiyo plans to gradually expand the service area based on the model established with Neubility. The company aims to make robot delivery a routine delivery option and provide customers with everyday contactless and eco-friendly delivery experiences.
A Yogiyo representative said, "This expansion of our robot delivery service is a new initiative based on the trust we have built through our previous robot delivery operations," adding, "We will continue to set new standards for the delivery experience through our technology partnership with Neubility."
