Each year, North Gyeongsang Province evaluates 22 local governments within the province across 12 criteria in four categories: employment indicators, achievement of targets, creation of quality jobs suited to local conditions, and institutional efforts. Based on these evaluations, outstanding cities and counties are selected.

Yeongdeok County received high marks for its job creation projects, including supporting local businesses under the vision of "Yeongdeok, a place to live and stay with good jobs," creating linked jobs through the revitalization of agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and the culture and tourism industries, and generating employment opportunities for both young people and the elderly.

Thanks to these achievements, Yeongdeok County has been recognized for four consecutive years for its outstanding performance in job creation, receiving high evaluations from 2022 through this year.

In addition, in September, Yeongdeok County was awarded the top prize in the public announcement category at the "2025 National Local Government Job Awards" hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor, marking another major accomplishment following its recent recognition in the North Gyeongsang Province job creation performance evaluation.

Hwang Jeonggi, Director of the Job and Economy Division, stated, "The results of our job creation initiatives are not just administrative achievements, but the most important driving force for improving the lives of our residents and building a better community. We will do our utmost to create more and better jobs so that anyone who wants to work can do so."
