Praised for 24-Hour Daycare Operation and Expansion of Care Services
On December 22, Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province was selected as the 'Best City/County in Jeollanam-do' in a comprehensive evaluation of gender and family policies.
According to the county on the 23rd, this evaluation comprehensively assessed the overall implementation of gender policies, childcare support, and child welfare, among other gender and family policy initiatives.
The county received high marks for expanding care services through the operation of the Hwasun-style 24-hour daycare center, implementing policies closely aligned with residents’ daily lives, and maintaining a field-oriented administrative approach.
Additionally, the county has established a policy implementation system that promotes cooperation between the administration and the private sector, focusing on policies that women and families can directly experience. Through various resident participation projects, it has also enhanced the effectiveness of its policies.
Seo Bongseop, Director of Family Policy, stated, "Being selected as the best city/county is the result of our efforts to ensure that women and families can experience real change in their daily lives." He added, "We will continue to expand gender and family policies to build a gender-equal community and create a happier Hwasun for everyone."
Based on the results of this evaluation, the county plans to further strengthen efforts to create an environment where women and families can live with peace of mind.
