Police to Deploy 1,410 Officers for Christmas Crowd Control, All-Out Response in Key Areas

The police will deploy 1,410 officers and six broadcast lighting vehicles, focusing on six key areas designated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety where crowds of more than 20,000 people are expected at peak times.

In the event of a crowd-related incident report, a "Code 1" or higher will be assigned to disperse crowds and block further inflow, while securing priority passage for emergency vehicles. If local governments recommend dispersing crowds or suspending events, the police will support traffic and pedestrian safety management and share risk information.

Yu Jaeseong, Acting Commissioner General of the National Police Agency, stated, "We will concentrate all our resources to ensure crowd safety management."
