Connecting to Wonsam-myeon
Improved Accessibility Expected for Semiconductor Industrial Complex
The Namyongin Interchange (IC), which connects the Sejong-Pocheon Expressway to the Wonsam-myeon area in Cheoin-gu, Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, will be fully opened at 10 a.m. on the 23rd.

The Namyongin IC is located between the Gosam Hi-pass IC and the Yongin Junction on the Sejong-Pocheon Expressway, and it connects to Local Road No. 318 in Wonsam-myeon.
With the opening of the IC, accessibility to the Wonsam “Yongin Semiconductor Cluster General Industrial Complex,” a 4.15 million square meter site where SK Hynix is building a semiconductor production line aiming for operation in 2027, is expected to improve significantly.
Currently, Yongin City is expanding the 3.4-kilometer section of Local Road No. 318, which connects to the IC, from two lanes to six lanes. The expansion project is scheduled for completion in February 2027, but the city plans to first open four lanes of this section by April next year.
The Sejong-Pocheon Expressway is a 176.3-kilometer highway stretching from Pocheon in Gyeonggi Province to Sejong Special Self-Governing City. The 44.6-kilometer section from Pocheon to Guri first opened in 2017, and the 72.2-kilometer section from Guri through Yongin to Anseong was opened on January 1 of this year. The remaining 59.5-kilometer section from Anseong to Sejong is scheduled to be completed by the end of next year.
The section of the expressway that runs north-south through Yongin City covers 26 kilometers between Mohyeon-eup and Wonsam-myeon in Cheoin-gu. The North Yongin IC connects to Local Road No. 57 in Mohyeon-eup, and the North Yongin Junction links to the Osan direction of the Second Capital Region Ring Expressway.
In addition to Namyongin IC, the East Yongin IC will also be newly established in the Yongin section of the Sejong-Pocheon Expressway. The East Yongin IC will be located near the Yangji Rest Area between North Yongin IC and Namyongin IC, and it received approval for connection from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in October.
Lee Sangil, Mayor of Yongin, said, "The opening of Namyongin IC is a significant achievement that enhances the connectivity of the road network for the world’s largest semiconductor ecosystem being developed in the Yongin area. We will continue to expand transportation infrastructure without delay to further improve the convenience of business operations and citizen mobility."
