[Today's New Release] McDonald's Year-End Limited 'Lucky Burger'... "Delicious Giving Is Back"

Faker Selected as Campaign Model
100 KRW Donated for Each Lucky Burger Purchased

On December 22, McDonald's announced that it will launch two special limited-edition menu items, the "Lucky Burger" series, on December 26 as part of its year-end and New Year donation campaign. This year, McDonald's has selected professional gamer Faker as the campaign model for the Lucky Burger, aiming to further highlight the meaning of "luck and sharing" during the holiday season.

This year's Lucky Burger lineup includes two varieties: the "Lucky Burger Gold" and the "Lucky Burger Gold Special." The Lucky Burger Gold stands out with its signature elongated bun, a chewy patty finished with savory seasoning, and a rich garlic sauce that creates a sweet and deep garlic flavor. The Lucky Burger Gold Special features the addition of a hash brown, providing a crispy texture and a nutty taste for a more satisfying and hearty experience.

Alongside the Lucky Burger, McDonald's will also introduce "Curly Fries" and the "Gold McFizz." Curly Fries, a limited-time side menu item, are known for their addictive seasoning and unique spiral shape, and have received enthusiastic responses each year they are released. The Gold McFizz is a golden-hued carbonated drink made by combining orange syrup with Sprite, offering a refreshing taste that pairs well with the Lucky Burger.

A customer participation event will also be held with campaign model Faker. To participate, customers should take a photo featuring both the Lucky Burger and Faker's signature "thumbs up" pose, include the required hashtag, and post it on their Instagram account. After posting, they must submit the URL of their post via the event application page linked in McDonald's official Instagram profile. The event will run from December 27, 2025, to January 16, 2026, and winners will be selected by lottery to receive a Faker-autographed uniform.

The Lucky Burger has been one of McDonald's most popular limited menu items since its first release in 2013, launching every year at the end of the year. It is known not only for delivering hope and good fortune for the New Year, but also as a "good burger" that contributes to charity with every purchase. Since 2019, McDonald's has been running a donation campaign, contributing 100 KRW for each Lucky Burger or Lucky Burger set sold. The funds collected are donated to RMHC Korea and are used for the operation and construction of the Ronald McDonald House, which provides accommodation near hospitals for children requiring long-term treatment and their families, helping them focus on recovery.
