On December 21 (Korean time), Paul posted X-ray images of his jaw on his social media account, Instagram, revealing, "I have two jaw fractures."

Despite the serious injury, he did not lose his trademark confidence, joking, "Let me fight Canelo Alvarez in 10 days," and reassured fans with a photo taken in the hospital room and the message, "Thank you for your support. I'm okay."

Paul later shared an additional post, announcing that his surgery had gone smoothly.

He explained, "The pain is severe and my body feels stiff," adding that he would have to stick to a liquid diet for seven days, indicating that he needs to focus on recovery for the time being.

Previously, on December 20, Paul suffered a knockout loss in the sixth round during his heavyweight match against Joshua at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, United States.

Joshua, recognized as one of the world's top "hard punchers," pressured Paul throughout the match, knocking him down four times.

Ultimately, in the sixth round, Joshua landed a powerful punch squarely on Paul's jaw.

Paul collapsed onto the canvas and tried to get up, but was unable to regain his balance and was counted out.

This bout had drawn concerns from the outset due to the difference in weight class and skill level.

At the weigh-in, Paul came in at 98 kg, while Joshua weighed 110 kg, resulting in a 12 kg weight difference.

Many have commented that it was simply too much for Paul, a YouTuber challenging boxing, to withstand an "elite boxer" like Joshua, who has twice unified the heavyweight championship.
