First in the Chungcheong Region to Offer Self-Directed Major Selection
"Kum College"... Guaranteed Major Placement Regardless of Grades
Nasaret University will select 104 students, accounting for 8.9% of the total number of students to be admitted, in the 2026 regular admissions process. Within the quota, students will be recruited through the General Student Track and the Creative Convergence Talent Track. Outside the quota, students will be selected through tracks for specialized high school graduates, rural area students, basic livelihood security recipients, students with disabilities, and the Department of Rehabilitation Employment in Chungnam (early employment contract department).
By admissions type, the number of students to be selected within the quota is as follows: 62 for the General Student Track in Group A, 30 in Group B, and 12 in Group C, totaling 104 students. The final number will be confirmed after December 26, reflecting any unfilled spots from the early admissions process. For the tracks outside the quota-specialized high school graduates, rural area students, basic livelihood security recipients, students with disabilities, and the Department of Rehabilitation Employment in Chungnam-the final number will also be determined based on the results of the early admissions process.
Depending on the department, students are primarily selected through four types of admissions: ▲CSAT-based Track ▲School Record-based Track ▲Comprehensive School Record Track ▲Practical Skills-based Track. The General Student Track, which is CSAT-based, selects students either by 100% CSAT score or by 70% CSAT score plus 30% interview. The Creative Convergence Talent Track, which is school record-based, selects students by 60% school record and 40% interview, while the track for specialized high school graduates, rural area students, and basic livelihood security recipients selects students by 100% school record. The Comprehensive School Record Track includes the track for students with disabilities and the Department of Rehabilitation Employment in Chungnam, selecting students by 60% document review and 40% interview. In the Practical Skills-based Track, depending on the department, 60% to 100% of the practical test score is reflected, along with the school record and interview scores.
Starting in the 2026 academic year, the Comprehensive School Record Track will include a qualitative evaluation in the character area, and students who receive disciplinary measures of level 8 or 9 will be deemed ineligible. In all other tracks, point deductions will be applied to the total admissions score according to the school violence disciplinary action table, with a maximum deduction of 50 points if multiple measures are imposed. As with the Comprehensive School Record Track, those with level 8 or 9 disciplinary measures will be deemed ineligible.
The most distinctive feature of Nasaret University's regular admissions is the "Self-Directed Major Selection Program." For the first time in the Chungcheong region, the university operates "Kum College," a program that allows students to freely choose their major. After admission, students can explore their potential and aptitude and select their desired major at the end of the first and second semesters. Excluding the health, education, arts and sports, and rehabilitation and independent living divisions, students are guaranteed 100% placement in their chosen major among 14 available majors, regardless of their grades. Students admitted through the Self-Directed Major Selection Program have opportunities to choose their major through various programs such as major exploration and mentoring, tailored counseling, special lectures and seminars, and major fairs.
Applications will be accepted for three days from December 29 to 31 through Uwayapply. Interviews and practical exams will be held as follows: Group A on January 8, 2026, Group B on January 13, and Group C on January 22. The first round of successful candidates will be announced on February 2.
