The city explained that this agreement was made possible by aligning its strategy to develop a specialized semiconductor city with the company's mid- to long-term growth plans.

TechL, an affiliate of the BH Group, has built its technological expertise in the field of semiconductor back-end processes, focusing on memory packaging storage. The company supplies a variety of products to the information technology (IT) and automotive electronics industries, and has recently expanded its business into the electric vehicle and advanced Internet of Things (IoT) sectors.

Under the agreement, TechL plans to gradually relocate its headquarters to Osan and further expand its affiliate business sites, investing a total of 45 billion won from next year through 2028. During this process, the company will maintain its current workforce of approximately 220 employees and hire an additional 50 new staff members.

The city will strengthen administrative support and cooperation to ensure the smooth relocation and stable settlement of the company, and will also implement support measures linked to the expansion of industrial infrastructure.

TechL was established in 1998 based on Barun Electronics and currently operates a business site in Jangji-dong, Hwaseong City. BH Group operates in areas such as printed circuit boards (PCBs), semiconductor materials and equipment, automotive electronics, and automation equipment, recording sales of approximately 1.75 trillion won.

Lee Kwonjae, Mayor of Osan, stated, "This agreement will serve as an opportunity to further enhance the competitiveness of the semiconductor industry, which the city is fostering as a future strategic industry," adding, "We will carefully manage administrative procedures so that the company's investment can lead to regional growth and job creation."
