The "Overseas Employment Training Program," supported by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, is a talent development initiative tailored to the needs of overseas companies. The program provides not only language and job training, but also career counseling and placement services, as well as local living information to support post-employment settlement.
Since 2018, Samyook University has been selected as an operating university for this project for eight consecutive years, producing a total of 177 graduates to date. In particular, since 2022, the university has formed a consortium with Daejin University, Duksung Women's University, and Seokyeong University to expand the project into a "University Consortium Course."
This year, the joint project group began with overseas language training in June and July, and from August operated five training courses with the goal of securing employment for all participants in North America.
Specifically, a total of 95 students participated in the following training programs: Samyook University Global e-Business (Internet Commerce) Specialist, Samyook University Global Design Specialist, Daejin University Global Business Specialist, Duksung Women's University Smart Trade, Logistics & Accounting Specialist, and Seokyeong University Global Business Data Analysis Specialist.
The training program consisted of a total of 600 hours of intensive education, including job training, business English (language training), and education on culture, safety, and regulations.
The joint project group has begun job matching this month and plans to complete matching all participants with overseas companies by the end of February next year.
At the completion ceremony, President Je said, "I hope that your choice to take on a new challenge, rather than following the path everyone else takes, will lead to great growth in the future."
