Gyeongnam Information University Hosts Energy New Industry Field Trip Program for High School Students

Over 50 Daejin Electronics High School Students Participate
Hands-on Experience with Advanced Training Equipment Including Secondary Batteries and Hydrogen

Gyeongnam Information University, known as the leading community college in Busan, hosted a field trip program on December 10, inviting more than 50 students from Daejin Electronics High School to experience the advanced training equipment and smart educational environment of the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence College Project Group.

This program was organized by the project group and the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering to provide practical career exploration opportunities for young people interested in the future energy industry.


The students toured advanced training equipment such as secondary battery coin cell manufacturing devices, a hydrogen value chain VR system, and hydrogen production simulation training equipment, as well as a hybrid smart classroom, directly experiencing technologies used in real industrial settings.


Kim Byeongcheol, head of the Department of Chemical and Energy Engineering, said, "This field trip was a valuable opportunity for students to understand how industrial technology and university education are connected," adding, "We will continue to advance our practical education system across the entire energy new industry sector, including hydrogen, ESS, and renewable energy, to nurture future talent together with the local community."


Kim Bongsu, head of the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence College Project Group, stated, "Through this visit, I hope the students discover new possibilities in the energy sector and grow into talents who will lead the region's industries in the future."
