Santa and Rudolph Chocolate Decorations Added to the Classic Kumdori and Kkumsooni Pastries
Daejeon's "Kumdori Walnut Pastry" is introducing a special limited edition "Salted Sweet Red Bean Butter" flavor for the Christmas season.
This limited edition features winter-inspired packaging and reflects the tastes of the younger generation.
In particular, this Christmas lineup includes walnut pastries decorated with Christmas icons such as Santa hats and Rudolph antlers, which are popular among young people, making it a product that visually captures the festive year-end atmosphere.
The Christmas limited edition and the Salted Sweet Red Bean Butter flavor will be available for purchase from December 12 to 25 at the Jung-gu Walnut Pastry Business Group. The sales location is the Jung-gu Walnut Pastry Workshop (3, Daejong-ro 286beon-gil, Jung-gu).
Additionally, a new store is scheduled to open near Sung Sim Dang in December, aiming to attract external tourists visiting Sung Sim Dang and further expand the customer base.
Lee Jangwoo, Mayor of Daejeon, stated, "This product is perfectly suited for the year-end atmosphere and is so appealing that everyone will want to have at least one," adding, "We expect it to receive a great response from young people who do not prefer red bean paste."
He continued, "Continuous product development is the only way to survive in a competitive market, and products like Kumdori Walnut Pastry, which are both cute in appearance and delicious, will have lasting vitality. I hope Kumdori Walnut Pastry will continue to grow as a character-based brand representing Daejeon."
In addition, a new character product from the "Kkumssi Family" will be added next year.
Meanwhile, since its initial launch in August, Kumdori Walnut Pastry has quickly become a local specialty, surpassing cumulative sales of 230 million won in just four months.
