Yeungnam University (President Choi Oechul) announced on December 4 that Seobo Gun, Dean of the Yeungnam University School of Law, has been elected as the 32nd President of the Korean Constitutional Law Association. His term will begin in January 2026 and last for one year.
The Korean Constitutional Law Association is a professional academic organization established to research, investigate, and present studies in constitutional law and related fields, as well as to promote academic exchange among its members.
Seobo Gun, who has been elected President of the Korean Constitutional Law Association, graduated from the Department of Public Law at Yeungnam University and earned his master's degree from the same university. He later received his doctorate from Osaka University, a national university in Japan. He has built a career that combines both practical and theoretical expertise by working as a researcher at the Constitutional Court's Constitutional Research Institute. He also established an international research network by serving as an invited researcher at Osaka University and as a visiting professor at Kansai University in Japan. In addition, he has contributed to the advancement of constitutional law and the expansion of academic exchange through his activities as Vice President of the Korean Association of Public Law and Vice President of the Korean Constitutional Law Association.
