The Jeju Western Police Station announced on December 12 that they have booked a Chinese national tourist in their 20s, referred to as A, on suspicion of trespassing and are currently investigating the case.
A is accused of entering an elementary school in Jeju City without authorization through the back gate at around 2:40 p.m. on December 11 and filming the playground and a classroom where a class was in session using a mobile phone.
A teacher, who found A's behavior suspicious at the time, detained A and questioned the individual, after which the school reported the incident to the police.
