NH-Amundi Asset Management announced on December 11 that it conducted volunteer activities at a free meal center during the year-end and New Year period and donated 1,800 kilograms of rice.
The previous day, a rice donation ceremony was held at 'Myeongdong Babjip,' a free meal center operated by the One Body One Spirit Movement Headquarters under the Archdiocese of Seoul. NH-Amundi Asset Management CEO Kil Jeongseop and Father Baek Gwangjin, head of the Myeongdong Babjip center, attended the event. The donation was made as part of the Pan-NongHyup Rice Consumption Promotion and the 'Nongsim Cheonsim' movement, which emphasizes the importance of agriculture and local produce. A total of 26 employees participated in preparing and serving meals as volunteers.
Kil Jeongseop, CEO of NH-Amundi Asset Management, said, "I hope this will help, even in a small way, to provide a warm meal during the harsh winter cold," adding, "NH-Amundi Asset Management will continue to take the lead in ESG management and social responsibility activities."
As part of the Pan-NongHyup 'Nongsim Cheonsim' movement, NH-Amundi Asset Management carries out farm labor volunteer activities more than four times a year during the busy farming season. The company also conducts employee campaigns such as the 'Eat Breakfast for Rice Consumption' movement.
