Held at the District Office
IR Demo Day and Startup Competition

At the inaugural expo held last year, a total of three companies submitted letters of intent to invest, and some of them subsequently succeeded in attracting initial investments from external investors, achieving tangible results.

This year's event will take place at 2 p.m. on December 19 in the main auditorium on the second floor of Nowon District Office. From 10 a.m., a preliminary event called the Startup IN Competition will be held. Pre-registered aspiring entrepreneurs will promote their ideas and products and receive evaluations from experts from startup-related organizations. This year, a total of 10 teams, including high school and university divisions, will participate, and the winning teams will receive a total of 2.9 million won in prize money.

The main event of the expo is the IR Demo Day. IR Demo Day provides startups with the opportunity to present their products or services to investors, share their business direction, and gain opportunities for investment and publicity.

This year, participation was expanded to include not only local companies but also companies from outside the region. Ten companies selected through a written expert review on September 12 will receive IR pitching training and support for refining their investment proposals from dedicated mentors, before taking the stage at the expo.

On the day of the expo, each company will have 15 minutes to deliver their IR presentation and participate in a Q&A session. Five experts will judge the event, selecting four final companies to receive a total of 4 million won in prize money.

On the day of the event, a total of 20 exhibition and promotional booths will be operated, allowing startups and aspiring entrepreneurs to showcase their technologies and products firsthand. Through one-on-one startup consultations and investor matching programs, participating companies will be supported in refining their business direction and seeking practical investment opportunities.

Oh Seungrok, Mayor of Nowon District, stated, "Startups are an important driving force that injects new vitality into the local economy," and added, "We will do our best to establish a sustainable startup ecosystem where entrepreneurs and potential investors can discover each other's potential and collaborate."
