HanmiGlobal Elevates Energy Infrastructure Division... President Kim Yongsik to Oversee Affiliate Synergy

2026 Regular Executive Appointments and Organizational Restructuring Announced on December 5
Shim Hyungsoo, Won Youngho, Lee Sangryeong, and Choi Yoonyoung Promoted to Executive Vice President

HanmiGlobal, the leading construction project management (PM) company in Korea, announced its "2026 Regular Executive Appointments" on December 5, 2025. While strengthening its energy and infrastructure divisions, the company kept overall organizational changes to a minimum in order to maintain stability.

In this round of appointments, four individuals-Shim Hyungsoo, Won Youngho, Lee Sangryeong, and Choi Yoonyoung-were promoted to Executive Vice President.

President Kim Yongsik, who oversees business operations, will expand his responsibilities to include managing the work of the company’s affiliates. Previously, President Kim had also served as Head of the Global Business Division, directly leading overseas operations. With this appointment, he will hand over the role of Head of the Global Business Division to Executive Vice President Shim Jaekeuk and transition to a position overseeing the group’s entire business operations.

Executive Vice President Shim has served as Head of Overseas Operations since 2016. Known as a hands-on leader with extensive field experience, Shim will be responsible for executing and managing major overseas projects such as the "Green Riyadh" project in Saudi Arabia. He is expected to further strengthen the foundation of HanmiGlobal’s global business.

As part of the organizational restructuring, the Energy Infrastructure Business Team has been elevated to a business division, and the Nuclear Power Group has been renamed the Nuclear Power Business Unit.

HanmiGlobal is currently managing the largest offshore wind power PM project in Korea, the Nakwol Offshore Wind Power project. This year, the company also entered the U.S. market for the first time through the Guam Solar Power and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

In August, HanmiGlobal secured its first nuclear power project by winning the PM contract for facility improvement at Unit 1 of the Cernavod? Nuclear Power Plant in Romania.
