Various Benefits Provided, Including Support for Gas and Electricity Bills
Jeju Special Self-Governing Province has selected 105 "Good Price Establishments" that offer affordable meals, such as Jajangmyeon for 5,000 won and Sundae Gukbap for 6,000 to 8,000 won.
A total of 151 establishments applied during the open call, which took place over one month starting September 12. Of the 86 previously designated Good Price Establishments whose designation had expired, 72 (84%) were reselected. Among 65 new applicants, 33 (51%) were chosen.
Throughout November, an on-site evaluation team conducted a comprehensive assessment of applicants, reviewing their prices, hygiene and cleanliness, and service satisfaction.
Price was the most important evaluation factor, and establishments offering major menu items such as Jajangmyeon for 5,000 won, Sundae Gukbap for 6,000 to 8,000 won, and Kalguksu for 7,000 to 8,000 won were primarily selected.
The selected establishments will hold their designation for two years, from December 1 of this year to November 30, 2027. Jeju Province plans to monitor price increases, hygiene conditions, and service quality each month through monitoring teams assigned to each administrative city.
To ensure stable operations of Good Price Establishments, Jeju Province will provide a monthly water bill discount of up to 80,550 won (for 55 tons), and support electricity and gas bills with 500,000 won each twice a year. Customized goods worth 240,000 won will also be provided, and, as in previous years, the Best Good Price Establishments will be selected.
Kim Miyoung, Director of Economic Vitality at Jeju Province, stated, "We will strengthen support and promotion so that Good Price Establishments, which offer affordable prices and high-quality service despite high inflation, can operate stably. Good Price Establishments can be found on the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's Good Price Establishments website."
