Appreciating the Efforts of Civil Servants Handling Civil Complaints
Listening Directly to Suggestions and Difficulties
Kim Yooncheol, Governor of Hapcheon County in South Gyeongsang Province, announced on December 4 that he held the 'Statutory Civil Service Officers' Meeting (December 1)' and a meeting with civil service officers at the service counters in the small conference room of Hapcheon County Office to listen to the voices of frontline civil servants handling civil complaints.
In Hapcheon County, a meeting with civil service officers is held annually to facilitate communication between the governor and the officers. The purpose is to express appreciation for the hard work of civil servants who handle civil complaints at the administrative frontlines, to directly hear their suggestions and difficulties, and to address and improve the challenges faced by those in charge.
This meeting was attended by staff from departments related to statutory permits and approvals, as well as those working in civil complaint offices at the county office and in each town and township. Participants engaged in discussions on a variety of topics, including suggestions for work process improvements, institutional reforms, personnel requests, and matters related to public relations and guidance for county residents, all based on their own experiences.
Governor Kim Yooncheol stated, "In order to efficiently handle the increasingly complex and diverse administrative demands, not only is the continuous cooperation and effort of our staff required, but improvements to the administrative system are also necessary." He urged, "As public servants who serve our residents, I ask that you do your utmost to enhance civil complaint administrative services through mutual respect and consideration for those who file complaints."
