This pop-up was designed to allow visitors to experience the "Everyone's Life Book" archive, previously available online, in an offline setting. Visitors can participate in three activities: an exhibition of 24 selected life books, the "Life Sentence Vending Machine" that prints random sentences from the books, and "Filling the Bookshelf," where visitors record and display their own life books. Those who join Kyobo Life's "Library" via the QR code printed at the bottom of the sentence slip will receive 2,000 won in Kyobo Bookstore book cash.
On December 11, the customer participation reading program "Reading Flow: Exchange Book Club - ep1. Life Book," linked with the pop-up, will be held at Dawers Roastery & Re:Zero Seoul in Jongno, Seoul. Participants can choose between the "READ&TALK" program with creator Choi Seoyoung and the "READ&WRITE" program with critic Heo Hee. The program operates as an "exchange reading" session, where each participant brings one life book, exchanges it with another, reads for 40 minutes, and then writes a letter to share their impressions. Each program can accommodate 70 paid participants (15,000 won each).
A Kyobo Bookstore representative stated, "Through the Life Book campaign, readers' authentic experiences are coming together and expanding, creating a new reading culture. We hope that the Gwanghwamun pop-up and the exchange reading program will further broaden the platform for people to connect through reading and understand each other's stories."
