Hyvision System announced on the 27th that it held a completion ceremony for its first local factory in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, with a total floor area of approximately 13,200 square meters.
Hyvision System established its Indian subsidiary (HYVISION INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED) in Karnataka in March last year. As part of a strategic initiative to proactively respond to customer requests for new business expansion, the company began construction of the local factory in India this February.
The local factory in India is equipped to handle the entire manufacturing process for advanced smart devices, including process automation, assembly, and inspection automation systems. Starting next year, the company plans to produce and supply more than 100 types of key equipment and facilities related to new mobile device manufacturing for global Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) clients based in India.
The company has initially installed around 50 processing machines and hired approximately 300 local employees. To set up overall factory operations and manufacturing processes, about 100 staff members from the headquarters are currently stationed on site.
Hyvision System expects that demand for equipment from EMS clients will grow rapidly each year over the next three to four years. The company also plans to proceed with the construction of its second and third factories.
Choi Doowon, CEO of Hyvision System, stated, "From the establishment of our Indian subsidiary in March last year to the completion of the local factory, we have worked hard to respond to changes in our clients' global production strategies and to seize new growth opportunities."
He added, "We expect that launching a new business in advanced smart device manufacturing process equipment, moving beyond our existing camera module business, will play a significant role in our growth."
