Wishing Patients a Swift Recovery
and a Hopeful New Year for the Local Community
Ulsan Eliya Hospital is putting the value of 'healing' at the forefront as the New Year approaches.
To mark the year-end, Eliya Hospital (Director Jung Younghwan) lit up the 'Healing Light' to wish for patients’ recovery and a hopeful start to the year 2026.
On November 14, Ulsan Eliya Hospital held a lighting ceremony for the 'Healing Light'.
Planned for the first time this year, the 'Healing Light' embodies wishes for the swift recovery of patients visiting the hospital, as well as blessings for the health of staff and local residents and a hopeful New Year.
The 'Healing Light', installed between the first and second floors of the hospital and stretching about 10 meters, features large snowflake models and snowfall LED lights to create a festive Christmas and year-end atmosphere. In addition, the hospital minimized the lighting hours and promoted the reuse of lights to contribute to energy savings and environmental protection.
On the glass wall of the first floor beneath the 'Healing Light', hospital staff personally attached stickers shaped like snowflakes, lights, and snow, along with New Year’s greetings, adding to the meaning of the display. At the end of November, a large Christmas tree will also be installed in the indoor lobby on the first floor.
Jung Younghwan, Director of Ulsan Eliya Hospital, stated, "The value of medicine lies in sharing patients’ suffering and delivering hope for healing," adding, "I hope that the Healing Light illuminated today at Ulsan Eliya Hospital will bring hope and happiness to many people suffering from illness."
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, Ulsan Eliya Hospital plans to expand by adding new rehabilitation and infectious disease wards, an intensive care unit, operating rooms, and an emergency room, aiming to play a key role as a leading regional general hospital for critical and emergency patient care and the promotion of community health.
