On November 12, Hwasun County in South Jeolla Province announced that it will operate integrated support desks in towns and townships, enabling residents to receive comprehensive guidance and coordinated access to medical, nursing care, and caregiving services all in one place.

The county stated that it has actively promoted the project to residents by distributing leaflets and promotional materials at the recent 'Dolmen Autumn Flower Festival' and providing information about the integrated care project.

The integrated support project for medical, nursing care, and caregiving aims to help seniors and people with disabilities who require care due to illness, frailty, or disability to live healthily in their own homes or communities.

Various local organizations, including medical institutions, public health centers, towns and townships, caregiving agencies, and the National Health Insurance Service, are working together to provide integrated support for discharged patients, home visits by medical professionals, improvements to residential environments, and coordination of caregiving services.

The county plans to unify the consultation and application process for care services through the integrated support desks in towns and townships, and to establish a more comprehensive care system by connecting individuals to customized services tailored to their specific needs.

Seo Bongseop, Director of the Family Policy Office, said, "With the operation of the integrated support desks, residents can now easily and quickly receive guidance on the care services they need in one place. We will continue to collaborate with various organizations in the region to establish an integrated care system that enables residents to live healthily and safely in their own communities."
