Under the Theme of "Empathy, Healing, and Recovery"
Yongsan District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Heeyoung) will hold an animation contest featuring the district’s mental health mascot, 'Yongsani,' from November 10 to November 24.
This contest has been organized to share the value and importance of mental well-being with residents and to raise awareness about mental health. In particular, the district aims to deliver messages of positivity and comfort through heartwarming stories featuring the 'Yongsani' character.
The theme of the contest is "Stories of Empathy, Healing, and Recovery in Everyday Life." Entries must be animations between two and three minutes in length, with a file size of no more than 100MB. Anyone interested in Yongsan District may participate as an individual or as a group. Applications can be submitted either by visiting the Yongsan District Office or by email (ys8340@yongsan.go.kr).
The winning entries will be announced in December after a fair review and plagiarism check. One grand prize, two excellence awards, and three encouragement awards will be given. The selected works will be shared with residents through the official social network services (SNS) of Yongsan District and will also be used in various mental health campaign promotional videos.
Park Heeyoung, Mayor of Yongsan District, stated, "I hope this contest becomes more than just a creative event and serves as a platform for social empathy where we can understand and comfort each other. Since even a small story can provide great comfort to someone, I encourage all residents to show their interest and participate."
