Upbit Holds "UP Class" for NH Investment & Securities Private Bankers

"UP Class" is an educational program designed by Dunamu to enhance the public's understanding of digital assets, incorporating the expertise and experience of Upbit, Korea's leading digital asset exchange. Earlier this year, Dunamu conducted similar training sessions for nonprofit public interest organizations such as Community Chest of Korea, World Vision, and the Environment Foundation. NH Investment & Securities is the first financial institution to participate in this program.

This UP Class was organized to improve PBs' understanding of digital assets, which have emerged as a key investment vehicle for the future, and to strengthen their asset management expertise. According to the "2026 Korea Financial Consumer Trend Report" by Hana Institute of Finance, the size of assets invested in stocks and digital assets has increased by 17.9% over the past three years. As digital assets are driving a paradigm shift in finance as a new investment destination, Dunamu plans to continue expanding the scope of UP Class and collaborate with a wider range of financial institutions.

The training took place over approximately six hours at the NH Investment & Securities building in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul. Under the theme "Understanding and Utilizing Digital Assets," the program consisted of five sessions: understanding the basic structure of Bitcoin and blockchain; preventing digital asset fraud; characteristics and structure of digital asset exchanges; market fundamentals analysis and data approaches; and the latest digital asset trends.

For this UP Class, the curriculum was expanded to reflect the PBs’ work in client asset management and financial planning, covering everything from the basics of digital assets to market fundamentals analysis using tools such as the Upbit Cryptocurrency Index (UBCI) and blockchain analytics. The program also broadly addressed the growth prospects of digital asset industries such as stablecoins, real-world assets (RWA), and security token offerings (STO), offering insights for investment strategies. To enhance the program's expertise and provide practical insights, instructors included actual researchers from Upbit Data Lab and digital asset analysts with industry experience.

Oh Kyungseok, CEO of Dunamu, stated, "This UP Class is a meaningful attempt to lower the barriers and expand the intersection between traditional finance and digital assets. Going forward, Dunamu will continue to contribute to raising awareness of digital assets and promoting a healthy investment culture."

A representative from NH Investment & Securities commented, "In the rapidly changing digital financial environment, we initiated this program to provide clients with trustworthy information and differentiated asset management services. We will continue to strive to be the most reliable investment compass for our clients at all times."
