According to the group, Chairman Kim presented the mobile phones to the players and coaches the previous day, stating, "I give a big round of applause to the passion of the team, who showed fighting spirit until the very end," and added, "The sweat you shed will become a stepping stone to tomorrow’s championship." Earlier, immediately after the runner-up finish on October 31, he also expressed his gratitude to fans with a banner message, saying, "I will never forget those who cheered us on with the greatest passion in the world."
The group explained that this gift was prepared to symbolize "unwavering passion" and "Hanwha’s unique teamwork." Orange has become established as the color representing the Hanwha Eagles’ passion and the support of their fans. This year, the Hanwha Eagles finished second in the regular season and reached the Korean Series for the first time in 19 years. During the season, they set new KBO records with 62 home sellouts, over 1.23 million spectators, and the highest home seat occupancy rate, receiving enthusiastic support from fans.
