CJ ENM, whose main businesses are cultural content and commerce, is regarded as a company with a high level of female employment. Last year, over 60% of new hires were women, and women make up approximately 62% of the total workforce. To secure outstanding talent for the future, the company conducts open recruitment twice a year using a blind screening process and operates its HR system based on capabilities and performance, regardless of gender.
The company also has well-established systems to support work-family balance. It operates three on-site daycare centers and provides a congratulatory pregnancy gift box worth 120,000 won to employees who become pregnant. Although the specifics vary by department, the company demonstrates thoughtful consideration for family-friendly culture by providing gifts for children taking the college entrance exam and for Family Month, among others.
For pregnant employees and employees’ spouses, CJ ENM runs maternity classes to help new mothers and fathers prepare for childbirth and parenting. Aiming to achieve work-life balance, the company has also introduced flexible and diverse work arrangements, including remote work and telecommuting systems tailored to each department.
