On November 3, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it will extend the visa exemption deadline for 45 countries, including South Korea and Japan, which was set to expire at the end of this year, until December 31 of next year. In addition, Sweden has been newly added to the list of visa-free countries.

The countries benefiting from the extension include 32 European countries such as France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Spain. The visa-free policy has also been extended for six Asian countries-South Korea, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, and Bahrain-as well as two countries in Oceania, Australia and New Zealand, and five countries in Central and South America: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay.

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs explained that holders of ordinary passports from these countries can stay in China for up to 30 days without a visa for purposes such as business, tourism, visiting relatives or friends, exchange visits, or transit.
