Government Employees Pension Service to Pilot Commissioned Retirement Preparation Program for 2025

Operated in Three Regions: Seoul, Yongin, and Jeju

The Government Employees Pension Service announced on November 3 that it will introduce and pilot a privately commissioned retirement preparation education program to provide systematic life planning support for public officials scheduled to retire.

The service has entrusted this retirement preparation education program to Hyundai Research Institute, and it will be operated from today until December 18 in three regions: Seoul, Yongin, and Jeju. The program will be conducted for a total of 1,520 public officials who are about to retire.

The education consists of two courses: the "Second Act of Life Design Course" (future planning) and the "Wise Asset Management Course" (financial expertise). The curriculum focuses on areas necessary after retirement, such as the need for retirement preparation, relationships and communication, financial asset management, and health management, and will be offered a total of 19 times.

In particular, to mark the 10th anniversary of the relocation of the Government Employees Pension Service to Jeju, the program will be provided to 800 public officials scheduled to retire in the Jeju region. This is also expected to contribute to mutual growth and economic revitalization in Jeju.

Kim Inju, Director of Welfare Operations at the service, stated, "With the operation of this privately commissioned retirement preparation education program, we will expand educational opportunities so that more public officials scheduled to retire can prepare for a happy and meaningful life after retirement. We will continue our efforts to meet the diverse educational needs of our clients and to enhance satisfaction with the program."
