The Buan Tourist Taxi is a reservation-based, customized transportation service that allows tourists to freely travel to destinations of their choice. It has been well received by travelers without private vehicles and those seeking efficient itineraries.
In particular, it can be used in conjunction with tourist attractions that are difficult to access by public transportation, such as the walking-focused Byeonsan Masil-gil, making it a service well-suited for various types of travel.
During the “Traveling Autumn” discount event period, the county will subsidize 50% of the total fare, so users will only need to pay half the amount. For the three-hour course, users pay 30,000 won out of the 60,000 won total; for the five-hour course, 50,000 won out of 100,000 won; and for the six-hour course, 60,000 won out of 120,000 won, with the remaining 50% covered by the county. Up to four passengers can share one tourist taxi, and the service operates on a reservation basis.
The discount is available to all tourists except Buan County residents, and anyone can receive the benefit by making a reservation. Flexible use is also possible, including course adjustments, joining mid-route, and specifying destinations according to the itinerary. Through this initiative, the county aims to resolve the inconvenience of tourist sites with low transportation accessibility and provide customized, tourist-centered services.
A county official stated, “This Traveling Autumn event is an on-site, hands-on service that reduces transportation costs for tourists,” adding, “We will continue to expand active administrative measures that are tailored to the needs of tourists and can be tangibly felt.”
Meanwhile, the county also plans to offer various additional benefits, such as an SNS certification event and souvenirs for submitting reviews, to those who use the tourist taxi service.
