In commemoration of the third anniversary of the 10·29 Itaewon Tragedy, Gyeonggi Province has raised a memorial flag at the provincial government building starting from the 25th and put up a banner reading, "We Remember and Stand Together for the 10·29 Itaewon Tragedy."
Gyeonggi Province also displayed a memorial flag and banner for the second anniversary last year. At that time, Governor Kim Dongyeon decided to raise the memorial flag after meeting with the bereaved families of the victims and in response to their request.

From November 4 to 7, Gyeonggi Province will host a comic exhibition titled "Beside Pain, The Pain Beside" in the first-floor lobby of the provincial government building, featuring stories and experiences of disaster victims.
This exhibition is organized by the Disaster Victims' Rights Center "Woori Hamkke," Chungkang College of Cultural Industries, and the 10·29 Itaewon Tragedy Bereaved Families Association. Young artists have depicted the stories of disaster victims-including the Itaewon tragedy, the Sewol ferry disaster, and the Osong underpass accident-through 11 comic works.
Since the 10·29 Itaewon Tragedy, Gyeonggi Province has implemented resident-centered safety measures to prevent the recurrence of crowd-related accidents, such as a safety prevention hotline and joint social disaster drills. The province also continuously manages the safety of local festivals in cooperation with city and county governments, the Safety Management Advisory Group, police, and fire departments.
