This program was designed for graduating and current students to enhance their understanding of small and medium-sized enterprises in Busan and to strengthen their self-directed job-seeking capabilities.
A total of eight teams participated. From September 18 to October 13, they attended workshops and conducted team-based company visits, and on October 14, each team presented the results of their selected company analysis in the final round.
The Company Exploration Challenge required participating students to select a Busan-based company, conduct on-site visits and interviews, and then deliver a seven-minute presentation on their findings.
According to the judges' results, the grand prize went to the K-busan Job Hunters team, comprised of students from the Department of Electrical Engineering. The top excellence award was given to the Vital Sign team from the Department of Emergency Medical Technology, and the excellence award went to the Job Booster team, a joint team from the Departments of Clinical Laboratory Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
In particular, the K-busan Job Hunters team visited Halla IMS, systematically researched recruitment requirements and working conditions, and conducted in-depth interviews with company representatives. As a result, they received high marks for their information-gathering skills and the completeness of their presentation.
Kim Sungwon, Director of the Employment Support Center, stated, "The Busan Job Navigator Program is a practical employment program that strengthens the connection between outstanding local companies and students. Through this challenge, I hope students will develop a positive perception of Busan companies and lay the foundation for settling in the region."
