Arrested on the Spot for Threats in a Public Place

A man in his 50s who threatened passengers while carrying a weapon inside a Seoul subway train was apprehended by the police.
On October 22, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a man in his 50s, identified as Mr. A, on charges of making threats in a public place.
Mr. A is accused of threatening passengers several times by saying, "If I pull out a knife, everyone will die, everyone will try to escape," while carrying a bag containing a weapon inside a Seoul Subway Line 2 train around 5 p.m. on October 21.
After receiving a report, the police responded and arrested Mr. A inside Dangsan Station on Seoul Subway Line 2 about 20 minutes later. It was reported that eight kitchen knives and one pair of scissors were found in Mr. A’s bag.
At the time of the incident, Mr. A was not under the influence of alcohol, but a drug test will be conducted. The police plan to investigate the details of the case and are considering requesting an arrest warrant for Mr. A.
