Free Screening and Seminar to Be Held on the 20th of Next Month
Dongjak District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Ilha) is set to support healthy living for middle-aged and older men by offering a special lecture on the prevention of prostate diseases through the “Dongjak Residents’ Health Academy.”
This special lecture is being organized in cooperation with the Korea Prostate and Voiding Management Association to provide a free health seminar and screening for the prevention and early management of prostate diseases. It will be held on the 9th floor of the Dongjak District Health Management Center’s education room, from 9:20 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on the 20th of next month, targeting 100 male residents aged 55 and over.
The program will begin with Kim Secheol, president of the Korea Prostate and Voiding Management Association, explaining the causes, symptoms, prevention methods, and treatment trends of prostate diseases. Participants will then complete a “Voiding Disorder Self-Assessment Questionnaire” and undergo a “Prostate Disease Blood Test (PAS).” The test results will be sent individually by mail at a later date.
Registration for the lecture will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10:00 a.m. on the 21st of this month. Applications can be submitted via the Naver Form linked through the promotional QR code or by calling the Health Administration Division of Dongjak District at 02-820-9463.
Park Ilha, Mayor of Dongjak District, stated, “Prostate diseases can be sufficiently prevented with early diagnosis and consistent management. I hope this special lecture will serve as a small starting point for preparing for a healthy old age,” adding, “We will continue to provide practical health services to ensure a vibrant life for our residents.”
