The original ramen festival, the "2025 Gumi Ramen Festival," which Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province has been ambitiously preparing, will be held for three days from November 7 to 9, 2025, in the area around Gumi Station.
On October 20, the city held the "2025 Gumi Ramen Festival Final Report Meeting" in the main auditorium at City Hall, with over 80 attendees including members of the city council, the Romantic Culture Festival Committee, related organizations, volunteer groups, and festival participants, to conduct a final check on the overall preparation status of the festival.
Prior to the report meeting, the "Sustainability Practice Declaration Ceremony" was held, where participants pledged to develop the Gumi Ramen Festival, held in the city of ramen, Gumi, into a sustainable festival that connects generations and regions, as well as the environment and culture.

As similar food and beverage festivals are emerging across the country, Gumi City has raised expectations among participants and citizens by further upgrading the festival programs and management system, staking its pride on being the "original ramen festival."
Gumi Mayor Kim Jangho stated, "Now in its fourth year, the Gumi Ramen Festival has firmly established itself as a leading food culture festival representing South Korea. As we have prepared our best, I hope you will fully enjoy the essence of ramen culture that can only be experienced in Gumi."
The event will feature a variety of programs filled with sights, food, and entertainment, including: ▲ a ramen restaurant where you can taste unique ramen dishes made with freshly fried noodles; ▲ the Gumi Ramen Workshop where you can create your own one-of-a-kind ramen; ▲ the Bogeulbogeul Playground, an experience space for children and families; ▲ the Global Ramen Cooking King, where foreign participants compete with K-ramen; ▲ the Ramen Stage with various performances and events; and ▲ the special gourmet tournament "Ramellier Selection Contest," where ramen enthusiasts of all ages can take on the challenge.
