On October 20, the city of Yangsan in South Gyeongsang Province held a plaque unveiling ceremony for the "2025 Yangsan City Outstanding Senior Center" at the Daebang Nobleland 7th Senior Center in Mulgeum-eup (President Park Yuman).
The Daebang 7th Senior Center received high marks for its active leisure programs, maintenance of a clean environment, and activities that foster harmony among members.
The ceremony was attended by Sim Juseok, head of Mulgeum-eup, Yoo Sujeong, director of the Department of Seniors and the Disabled, and about 20 members of the Daebang Nobleland 7th Apartment Senior Center.
The Daebang Nobleland 7th Senior Center was selected as the top senior center in Yangsan City after receiving high scores in the September review for transparency in operations, self-governance activities, revitalization of operations, establishment of operational support systems, and exemplary cases.
With 62 members, the senior center runs a variety of programs such as the Healthy Longevity Exercise Class and Singing Class. In addition to volunteering in the local community, the center actively participates in events to help neighbors and promote harmony with local residents, contributing to the revitalization of the senior center.
President Park Yuman stated, "As our motto says, 'Life begins now,' the members have all worked together to be proactive and take initiative in their activities. We will continue to strive for a healthy and vibrant later life, as well as harmony with local residents."
